Mixing up concepts of God with the reality of God

Clear lake

For ages and even today people have been killing in the name of god. Torturing, humiliating and causing pain to each other for the sake of religion. “How is this possible if there is a God?” is a very common question.

God is a God of love and nothing else. Absolute love does not mean to always choose for us and lead us the non harming perfect way. Absolute love means giving absolute freedom to your beloved ones. We are set free to do whatever we like and to learn at our own pace because we chose so. This freedom is one of the highest gifts we have.

How can people kill in the name of God? Simply because they have their own EGO-induced understanding of God. Every Ego wants to be important and do something hero-like. So what better argument can you give yourself than fighting for the highest of all goods? Ego wants success and rewards of respect. To tell yourself you would be killing for such a privileged cause of course will please your ego.

However what is absolutely lacking is the understanding that God is love. This means that noone is ever meant to kill or hurt anyone in the name of anything.

If we want to do anything in the name of God we should learn to love and forgive especially where forgiveness and a loving solution seems to be out of sight.

What is a spiritual life?

A truly spiritual life has nothing to do with churches or sects. Above all it is about loving action and a loving attitude towards all creation. So it takes place in the streets and warzones where people fight each other and are too greedy to share and too aggressive to reconcile. Thus a spiritual lifestyle is one that improves our world.
